Active Bali Adventure

Active Bali Adventure

8 Days

Overview:

Wander through the exotic island paradise of Bali. Bali is an eco-lover’s daydream, with a plethora of unusual flora and fauna sprinkled through it. The same could be said about the vast mountains, coral reefs, and rice paddies that make Bali so unique. You can explore rice fields and temples, see sandy beaches and tropical rivers, and enjoy your vacation. You’ll start in Ubud, where you can raft through tropical forests that have been untouched for centuries or visit ancient temples. Then you’ll go to the coastal resort area Seminyak, where the exotic sea creatures will baffle you as you snorkel through all the reefs Bali has to offer. Don’t worry! There’s also time to rest on the picturesque beaches that are in great abundance in this tranquil tropical fairyland. You’ll experience all the great natural, architectural, and gastronomical things that Bali has to offer. And it’s all just one plane ride away.

The Plan:

Day 1 Ubud (1 hour travel)

blogVacation

You’ll arrive in Bali, specifically Denpasar, and receive transportation to Ubud. Congratulations! Your vacation is officially underway.

Day 2 Ubud (5 hours)

blogVacation

You’ll be taken to Tampak Siring, where you’ll see the Gunung Kawi Temple, built in the 11th century. Head down to the Pakerisan River, where two temples were carved out of a cliff. Then, visit the Tirta Empul Spring, where a shrine was built for the God Indra. Before returning to your hotel, make sure to see the presidential guest house on a nearby hill.

Day 3 Ubud (6 hours)

blogVacation

Enjoy a wonderful whitewater rafting experience! You’ll splash down the Ayung River, gazing on rainforests and rice paddies alike. Watch Balinese people do everyday activities along the river bank on this safe-for-all-ages rapids ride. Afterwards, you’ll be able to enjoy a lunch buffet in a large riverside café, before heading back to your hotel room and resting up for your next adventure.

Day 4 Ubud (10 hours)

blogVacation

Take a ride down to Munduk Village in the morning. Stroll through different plantations in the area, which produce plenty of delicious foods, from coffee to cacao. You’ll see a gushing waterfall and learn about farming in the archipelago. Then, you’ll drive to Jatiluwih. You’ll amble through terrace-top rice fields at the UNESCO world heritage site, and visit the Batukaru temple before heading back.

Day 5 Seminyak (1 hour)

blogVacation

You’ll receive a transfer from Ubud to Seminyak, which will take about an hour. Watch the tropical sights that surround the area as you drive to your next destination. When you arrive, you can relax in your hotel room for the rest of the day.

Day 6 Seminyak

blogVacation

Dive into the shipwreck of the US Liberty to see how wildlife has taken over the area. You’ll see Serraya Secrets and the Noisy Reef, which plenty of strange creatures call home. The coral in this area is known to be breathtaking, and since the water is almost always tepid, and there’s very little current, anyone can paddle through this great experience.

Day 7 Seminyak (5.5 hours)

blogVacation

Gallop along the beach on this horseback riding adventure! At Saba Bay, you’ll commence the equestrian adventure of a lifetime. Trot over volcanic sands on this quiet beach, with great views of the cliffs and the majestic Mount Agung volcano. Jukung boats dot the coast, and their vivid colors, along with the Segara Willis temple and fruit gardens, are not a sight to miss.

Day 8 Seminyak
