The Challenge

Three executives from the same New York company were traveling together on a ten-day European circuit. Investor meetings in London, Frankfurt, and Zurich. One transatlantic leg out, one back, and multiple European stopovers in between.

Public bookings offered a version that meant four separate tickets across three different airline alliances. The overnight transatlantic leg was timed so poorly the executives would arrive at their London meetings on broken sleep. If a single leg went wrong, no one airline was responsible for fixing the rest. And, loyalty benefits were scattered across three programs, so nothing accumulated properly.

The Outcome

The journey operated as planned, and when it didn't, our team had already rebuilt it.

Thirty-six hours before departure, a Heathrow ground-handler strike was announced. Our air desk had been tracking early signals for two days, and had begun rebuilding the itinerary before the strike went public and before the airline issued its cancellation. When the cancellation came, the new plan was already in place.

The executives flew into London on the original transatlantic leg, then took premium rail to Paris, connected onward through alternative European air space, and picked up the transatlantic return on a later departure. All three arrived on schedule for their investor meetings, rested and ready.
