Day 4 Sigiriya (5 hour tour)

blogVacation

Today, travel back in time to Lion Rock, one of the region’s grandest rock fortresses. Built by King Kashyapa, what remains of the enormous structure is less than 20% of what it used to be- but still acts as one of the most well-preserved examples of ancient urban planning on the planet. Your excursion will take about 1.5- 3 hours. Later, discover Ritigala- a region home to 70 rock caves and absolutely incredible ancient history.

Day 5 Sigiriya - Kandy (4 hour vehicle transfer, half day tour)

Transfer to Kandy today via private vehicle. The 4-hour journey includes a stop at the renowned Dambulla Rock Cave Temple. Upon arrival, you’ll enjoy a journey to the town’s quaint local markets, where you’ll have the opportunity to sample exotic foods like wood apple, jackfruit, and rambutan!

Day 6 Kandy
