These cities are obviously known for their beauty and the cultural treasures that they are. This 10 day trip will immerse yourself in Greek culture, history, and even more importantly food! Enjoy authentic Greek and Mediterranean food as you pass by important landmarks, soak in that spectacular sun, and become dazzled by the architecture and colors you see in Greece. The Aegean Sea is full of lore and myths, full of discoveries awaiting your presence. The Plan:

Day 1 Athens

Arrive in Athens today, you will be greeted by an airport transfer taking you to a cocktail reception and dinner where you can meet other cruise goers and have some scrumptious food.

Day 2 Athens

Starting bright and early, you’ll see the Acropolis of Athens before the crowds come to see masterpieces of Greek art and architecture: the Temple of Athena Nike, Erechtheum, Parthenon, and the Propylaea. Head to the Acropolis Museum for a spectacular view of the Parthenon. Then, you have free time to explore Athens as you wish.

Day 3 Athens

Today, you will be taken to a guided tour through the National Archaeological Museum of Athens which is world renowned. And then, you will be boarding the Wind Star to start your cruise and then enjoy a nice cocktail hour on the ship and then eat your first dinner onboard!

Day 4 Nafplio

This city looks like it comes straight out of a painting with the sea, mountains, and a fortress overlooking this spectacular scenic view making it among the most beautiful and romantic towns in Greece, You have the choice of excursion to the Bay of Argolis, Palamidi castle, and guided tour of Nafplion or see Agamemnon’s tomb and visit the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus which includes a winery lunch.

Day 5 Mykonos

Today, you will have have the choice of excursions to this wonderful city: guided tour with a visit to the 16th century church in Ano Mera or take a boat ride to Delos to find the remnants of the reign of the holiest of Greek sanctuaries where to this day no one can stay the night nor anyone be dorn or die on this Island.

Day 6 Kusadasi

After docking in this city in Turkey, you’ll see the remnants of ancient Roman civilization. You’ll take a walking tour of the city to see the Temple of Hadrian, Arcadian Way, Trajan’s Fountain, and the two tiered Library of Celsus. Then, you’ll enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and dinner ashore at the Library of Celsus surrounded by the Aegean Chamber Orchestra.

Day 7 Patmos

The Isle of Patmos is breathtakingly beautiful which you’ll get to experience in full as you choose between taking a photography excursion through the heart of Chora as you trapaise through the cobblestones streets, white washed buildings, and blue Aegean seascapes or you can see the 11th century Monastery of St. John the Theologian, convent of Zoodochos Pigi, and iconic restoration studio, or the Monastery and visit to the Grotto of St. John.

Day 8 Santorini

After docking in Athinios Port, you’ll be taken into the city to see the Prehistoric Museum of Fira in addition to the iconic blue-domed buildings. Then, by cable car, you can stop by Santorini’s famous donkeys before making your own way back to the port.

Day 9 Monemvasia

The Wind Star will dock midday on the Peloponnese coast, Monemvasia, also called “Gibraltar of the East”. This city has been ruled by powerful empires like the Byzantine, Venetian, and Ottoman Empire, you can feel the history and the culture as you walk on the cobblestone streets throughout the island. You’ll have time to explore this city at your own pace before heading back to the ship for a farewell cocktail reception.

Day 10 Athens

Today, you will disembark the ship and depart for the airport. If you have time, indulge in some greek delicacies and buy some souvenirs before heading home!
