The Plan:

Day 1 Hanoi (airport meet and greet)

Welcome to Vietnam! You will be greeted at the airport by a smiling hostess with a sign, before being fast-tracked through the visa process and meeting your personal driver. From the airport you will be transferred to your hotel to relax and take in Hanoi.

Day 2 Hanoi (Half-Day tour)

Today, you will embark on your tour of Hanoi. You will be picked up by your driver and taken to see Ho Chi Minh’s former residence and his mausoleum, as well as One Pillar Pagoda and the grand temple of Literature. Later, enjoy a private, three hour walking tour of the French Quarter, where you’ll discover Buddhist pagodas and Soviet-era architecture.

Day 3 Hanoi – HaLong Bay (3 hours)

In the morning you will be taken from Hanoi to wonderful Ha Long Bay – enjoy the spectacular scenery en-route. You will board your luxury cruise ship and enjoy a fantastic overnight stay on the bay itself. Enjoy complimentary kayaking and explore the water at your pleasure, before enjoying a lavish dinner in the evening.

Day 4 Ha Long Bay – Hanoi-- Ho Chi Minh City (2 hour flight transfer)

After an early rise to enjoy breakfast and Tai Chi on the boat’s sun deck, you will be privately transported back to Hanoi, before boarding a flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, you will be picked up by a personal driver and transported to your hotel and relax!

Day 5 Ho Chi Minh City (Half Day Tour)

Start your exploration of Ho Chi Minh City with a visit to Cholon, the city’s Chinatown (and considered by many to be the largest and most complex in the world). Later, view the Jade Emperor pagoda, before heading to the city’s Dong Khoi Area to marvel at the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Saigon Central Post Office.

Day 6 Ho Chi Minh City (8.5 Hours)

Today, head 60 miles northwest to Tay Ninh, home of the Great Temple. The architectural beauty was uniquely built to reflect its blended traditions. Stop for lunch at a local Vietnamese restaurant, before finishing your day at the Cu Chi tunnels.

Day 7 Ho Chi Minh City – Siem Reap (1 hour)

Today, your diver will transport you to Ho Chi Minh Airport for your flight to Siem Reap, Cambodia. After the short flight, you’ll be greeted and fast-tracked through the visa process. Then you’ll be whisked away to your hotel to relax and recuperate.

Day 8 Siem Reap (9.5 hours)

Start your day early at Angkor Wat to see the incredible sunrise over the magnificent temples! Then, take advantage of your private Tuk Tuk to explore the temples- including the Bayon Temple and the mystical Ta Prohm.

Day 9 Siem Reap (4 hours)

Today, you’ll explore Siem Reap and take a Tuk Tuk ride to Lolei, Bakong, and Preah Ko Temples. After this thrilling tour, you will be given a monk’s blessing before being returned to your hotel to enjoy the afternoon at your leisure.

Day 10 Siem Reap – Chiang Mai(1.5 hours).

Day 11 Chiang Mai (Full Day Tour)

Weather and climate

Vietnam

The weather in Vietnam fluctuates based on the season and your location. The northern part of the country can get very cold in the winter, but summers tend to be moderate. In Central and South Vietnam, summers are very hot and humid.

Cambodia

Cambodia is a rather flat country and so the weather is fairly uniform throughout the whole country. There are two distinct seasons – the dry season runs from October to April, and the wet season from May to September. May and June are typically the hottest, wettest months of the year.

Thailand

Thailand's climate is tropical with an average annual temperature of 82°F and high humidity. There are three distinct seasons – the hot season from March to May, the cool season from November to February, and the rainy season from June to October.
