The Plan:

Day 1 Hanoi (airport meet and greet)

Welcome to Vietnam! You will be greeted at the airport by a smiling hostess with a sign, before being fast-tracked through the visa process and meeting your personal driver. From the airport you will be transferred to your hotel to relax and take in Hanoi.

Day 2 Hanoi (8 hours tour)

Today you will embark on your tour of Hanoi. You will be picked up by your driver and taken to see Ho Chi Minh’s former residence and his mausoleum, as well as One Pillar Pagoda and the grand temple of Literature. Enjoy an authentic lunch before seeing Ngoc Son Temple and experiencing a cyclo tour! Finish the day at a water puppet show!

Day 3 Hanoi (3.5 hours tour)

Today, you’ll make your way to the Quang Ba flower market and the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum via a less conventional means of transportation… your bike! After touring both of these wonderful sites, you’ll head to the Bat Trang Pottery Village to watch skilled artisans at work. All in all, you’ll bike about 10 kilometers!

Day 4 Hanoi- Sapa (5-hour transfer)

Today you’ll make your way to the city of Sapa, via the Noi Bai-Lao Cai Expressway. Upon arrival, you’ll be transported to your Sapa hotel via private vehicle. Later, you’ll be driven to the Silver Waterfall- one of the most picturesque sites in the entire city- before taking a scenic tour of Heaven’s Gate.

Day 5 Sapa (7.5 hour tour)

Leave Sapa in the morning for a scenic ride to the quaint Lao chai village. On the way, you’ll stop at local roadside stalls for tea, fruit, and desserts. Once you arrive, you’ll enjoy an in-depth tour of the village, and have the opportunity to interact with locals and their unique culture. After lunch, you’ll explore the Red Dao village of Giang Ta Chai!

Day 6 Sapa- Hanoi (Half Day Tour)

Before you leave, you’ll take a long ride down the dirt roads of one of the area’s most beautiful valleys. Journey through rice paddy terraces, rustic villages, and even stop at a local home! Later, enjoy the picturesque views as you make the five-hour drive back to Hanoi today via the expressway.

Day 7 Hanoi- Halong Bay

Head into the rural countryside today for a relaxing drive to Halong Bay- a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Later, you’ll board the Bhaya Legend Cruise and explore all the nooks and crannies of the beautiful area. Enjoy lunch on board before touring the Bay’s famous limestone formations and Thien Canh Son Cave. Later, enjoy some squid fishing with the crew!

Day 8 HaLong Bay – Hanoi (3 hours), Hanoi – Da Nang (1.20 hours), Da Nang – Hoi An (40 mins)

After an early rise to enjoy breakfast and Tai Chi on the boat’s sun deck, you will be privately transported back to Hanoi before flying south to DaNang. Upon arrival, you will be picked up by a personal driver and transported to the ancient town of Hoi An to check into your hotel and relax!

Day 9 Hoi An (8 hour tour)

Begin your day with a bike tour of the city, and a visit to a local craftsman’s home. Immerse yourself in the art of lantern making, and make your own to take home! Later, enjoy a cooking lesson from a local (which culminates with lunch) before learning how to decorate and pack your lantern.

Day 10 Hoi An- Hue (3.5 hour transfer)

You’ll make the 3.5 hour journey from Hoi An to Hue via private vehicle. On arrival, you’ll enjoy a personal biking tour along the beautiful Perfume River, before enjoying some local coffee and exploring the ancient architecture. In the afternoon, you’ll take part in a kite-flying contest!

Day 11 Hue (10.5 hour tour)

Today you’ll make the 200-kilometer trip from Hue to the Son River in Quang Binh Province. Here, you’ll witness one of the world’s largest limestone regions via Phong Nha- Ke Bang National Park, and take a boat ride into the area’s famous caves!

Day 12 Hue- Ho Chi Minh City (1.5 hour flight transfer)

Today, you’ll make the 1.5 hour flight directly to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, start your exploration of Ho Chi Minh City with a visit to Cholon, the city’s Chinatown (and considered by many to be the largest and most complex in the world). Later, view the Jade Emperor pagoda, before heading to the city’s Dong Khoi Area to marvel at the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Saigon Central Post Office.

Day 13 Ho Chi Minh City (9 hour tour)

Enjoy a scenic journey via long-tailed boat today. Cruise around the floating markets of Cai Ve, before heading to the opposite side of the Mekong River for a delicious Vietnamese lunch at a local eatery. After lunch, mingle with the locals, visit a bonsai garden, and tour the region’s local homes. Later, you’ll enjoy a two-hour escort back to the main city.

Day 14 Ho Chi Minh City (airport transfer home)
